THE PINNACLE OF DESIGN?
Our Supreme Monobloc calipers feature a brand new design that not only incorporates enhanced rigidity over previous caliper designs, it also features an enhanced ability to dissipate heat build up.
As always with our brake discs and rotors, material choice plays a key element to ensuring the perfect Performance Brake Kit. Here at Fuji Racing we choose to use a more expensive T6-6066 raw alloy material from which to produce our caliper bodies. T6-6066 provides improved durability over the more common T6-6061 and is less likely to deform when subject to extreme temperature changes.
Our Supreme Monobloc calipers can be spec’d for road, track or competition. Calipers can be spec’ed with Alloy pistons or titanium pistons. Each Caliper comes standard with dust boots however, we recommend removing these if you are using them on track or using the TR1 & CR1 brake pad compound. The Brake pad profile we also use is the common AP6 profile so there is plenty of choice it brake pad compounds.
THE FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT
Our discs are produced from FC-25 steel mixed with carbon to minimise expansion rates under extreme heat. This helps to minimise the chance of permanent distortion which can occur under extreme use or when keeping pressure on the brake pedal whilst stationary.
Each of our discs are generously treated to a strict heat treatment process before being coated to provide long term protection from the elements.
Each disc features slots which are offset to encourage airflow through the mid section of the brake disc, cooling from the inside out. In addition our barb grooved design is machined into the inner and outer face of the disc to cut a continuous fresh face into the surface of the mating brake pads, helping to prevent glazing and increases brake friction surface without making the discs any bigger in diameter.
Under extreme use and temperature the rotor changes shape, growing under heat and shrinking as it cools. A floating arrangement means that the rotor is more flexible and so can return to its original form faster and more efficiently when compared to a one piece solid disc.
Stopping Power!
The FR1 Compound is designed for fast road use, our silver pads offer an improved initial bite with extended high temperature fade resistance against standard OEM, however as a result the level of brake dust emitted is increased as well as increased noise levels.
The TR1 Compound is designed for competition in mind our red pads have been specifically created for track / circuit use. Providing an impressive bite from the moment the flag drops our red pads will continue to perform even when the temperatures rise! Not suitable for road use.
The CR1 Compound is the ultimate pad created for high level competition use, where continuous heavy braking and excessive brake temperatures are a common factor. With a high ceramic content our gold pads are formulated to be at their optimum performance capability between 270°C – 800°C. Not suitable for road use.
